OPEN RULEBOOK

How badge EP
becomes rarity.

A number earns badges for the properties it matches. Badge EP is based on how often each property appears, related badges avoid duplicate scoring, and total EP is ranked against every valid number.

FROM NUMBER TO TOTAL EP

Four steps you can inspect.

The same whole number produces the same badges and EP in this rules snapshot. Randomness chooses the number; it does not change how that number is analyzed.

01

Read the digits

The input must be a whole number from 0 through 1,000,000. Leading zeroes are removed because 00121 and 121 are the same number.

02

Match badge rules

The engine checks 233 properties, including digit shapes, repetitions, sequences, divisibility, named constants, dates, and number-culture references. Every earned badge remains visible.

03

Count scoring EP

Ungrouped badges all count. When related badges share a family, only the highest-EP badge in that family adds to the total; the others remain earned subsidiary badges.

04

Rank the total

Total EP is placed against all 1,000,001 possible numbers to produce its exact percentile and Trash-to-Mythic rarity tier.

BADGE CHECKS

Why one number can earn many badges.

A single roll can match several independent ideas. The analysis shows every match, the EP for each badge, and whether that badge contributes to the total.

DIGIT SHAPE

Mirrors · pairs · runs

Repeated digits, gaps, ascending or descending runs, mirrored shapes, and many exact arrangements.

MATHEMATICS

Prime · powers · divisibility

Properties based on factors, sequences, powers, polygonal numbers, and other mathematical relationships.

KNOWN VALUES

Constants · years · milestones

Recognizable values from science, computing, dates, internet culture, and familiar human milestones.

RANGE SIGNALS

Digits · magnitude · boundaries

Badges can also describe a number's length, size, parity, neighboring digits, and use of zero.

BADGE EP FORMULA

Rarer matches are worth more EP.

Each badge is tested across all 1,000,001 possible rolls. Its EP is the rounded value of 100 divided by its exact hit probability, or equivalently 100 × 1,000,001 divided by its match count.

Families prevent nested versions of the same idea from stacking repeatedly. If a number earns several badges in one family, all remain visible, but only the highest-EP member contributes to total EP.

EXACT FULL-RANGE PERCENTILE

Every total is compared with the full number space.

The distribution is built by analyzing every integer from 0 through 1,000,000. The displayed Top or Bottom label describes where that total EP sits among all possible rolls, not just recent visitors.

SEVEN RARITY TIERS

Current percentile bands.

Tiers follow the roll's position in the complete EP distribution. A badge update can change totals and percentile positions, so the rules snapshot stays beside every result.

TIERPOSITIONWHAT IT MEANS
TrashBottom 1%The lowest one percent of total EP results
CommonBottom 50%Below the median after the Trash band
UncommonTop 50-25%Above the median, but outside the top quarter

AnomalyTop 5-1%Inside the highest five percent
MythicTop 1%The highest one percent of total EP results

WHAT THE SCORE DOES NOT CLAIM

Useful context, clear limits.

It is range-specific

Percentiles describe whole numbers from 0 to 1,000,000. A different number range could produce a different distribution.

It follows a rules snapshot

The badge catalog can change. A newly added, removed, or corrected badge may change the EP and percentile of an older number.

It does not predict luck

A high-EP result is unusual under these badge rules. It cannot prove that a random generator is fair or predict the next result.

Versions should not be mixed

Keep the snapshot beside shared results. Totals from different badge catalogs may not be directly comparable.
